Nine years ago chatting and texting were an exception, today they make up 80% of our communications and have far surpassed phone calls. In four years, voice search will be the main way to search on Google, to write a message, to buy on Amazon, to find a file on Cortana. In my SEO books and digital training I started talking about voice search in 2014: personally I have been using it for years more and more intensively because it saves me a lot of time, is reliable and allows me to multitask.
Initially I only dictated my searches on Google, today in Google maps, write Liberia Email List documents on Google Doc. As soon as you start using voice search on your smartphone, it will seem absurd to send messages by typing text as you do today. Last week while I was in Padua I showed how to activate the voice search icon on your smartphone.
People were surprised and, a week later, they wrote to me thanking me for having opened up a new world to them and for having saved them a lot of time. It is no coincidence that even in the first quarter of 2018, according to Canalys estimates, Smart Speakers are the technological segment with the highest growth rate. Google, with its Google Home and Home Mini, has overtaken Amazon's Echo in sales.
