Pinheiro Neto Advogados has six new partners and five new consultants. Of the 11, only one has not been on the bench since she was an intern.
The new partners are: André Vertullo Bernini , Diego Caldas Rivas de Simone , Larissa Galimberti , Luis Cláudio Furtado Faria , Maurício Fróes Guidi and Pythagoras Carvalho .
Bernini works in the area of Business Law. He joined the firm in 2001, as an intern. In 2010 and 2011, he worked at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in New York.
Diego Simone, a specialist in B2B Lead Tax Law, has been with the firm since 2000. He was a legal advisor to the Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic in 2006 and a foreign lawyer at the firm Gomez-Acebo & Pombo, in Barcelona, between 2010 and 2011.
Larissa, in turn, was hired as an intern in 2003. Working in the area of intellectual property, she worked between 2014 and 2015 at the firm Fenwick & West LLP, in Mountain View, California.
Faria, who is based in the Rio de Janeiro branch of Pinheiro Neto, has been at the office for 17 years. The professional is in the litigation area and has previously been a foreign lawyer at Herbert Smith and Reed Smith, both in London.
Also shaped by the firm, Guidi has been a member of the firm's labor sector since 2001. With the same time at the firm, Carvalho works in the business area and spent a year at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, in London.
New consultants
In addition, five senior lawyers became consultants for Pinheiro Neto: Beatriz FR Seixas , Manuela Mendes Prata , Marcos Saldanha Proença , Maria Christina Motta Gueorguiev and Rafael Marchetti Marcondes . Only Manuela was not an intern at the firm.
Beatriz joined as an intern in 2004 and worked at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, in New York, between 2012 and 2013. She is a member of the business area.
Proença, from the business field in Rio, has been at Pinheiro Neto since 1998. He spent time at Latham & Watkins LLP, in Los Angeles (USA).
Maria Christina, in litigation, joined the firm shortly before graduating in 2000. She worked for a year at King & Spalding in Houston.
